Education and Trainings

Dynamics of Abuse Trainings: We cannot combat domestic violence alone and therefore, we rely on partnerships with law enforcement, the legal system and medical personnel to help us in our efforts. However, to ensure that these individuals understand the complexities and dynamics of abuse, we provide domestic violence trainings, at no charge.

Violence in the Workplace: When there is violence in the home, the effects of abuse too often follow the victim to their place of employment, having an effect on productivity and even the safety of the victim and the victims' co-workers. We are available to provide training to upper-level management about implementing policies to protect employees, as well as trainings about warning signs and appropriate action steps if an employee is in danger.

Community Education: Because domestic violence will only end when society takes a stand together, we work hard to educate the community about the warning signs of domestic abuse, how to help if a loved one is in danger, and the effects on the community when domestic violence occurs. We are available to attend community fairs and expos as well as provide educational presentations to religious or civic organizations.
